inCommunity Inc. and our brands of inCommunity Connect, Tenancy Skills Institute and Beddown recognise the importance of NAIDOC Week, celebrated this year from 6th to 13th July.

2025 is a significant milestone for NAIDOC Week as it signifies 50 years of honouring and elevating Indigenous voices, culture and resilience. A time to reflect while also embracing the future as embodied by this year’s theme: “The Next Generation: Strength, Vision and Legacy.”

As described by Aunty (Prof) Lynette Riley AO (Wiradjuri and Gamilaroi) and Co-Chair of the National NAIDOC Committee: “We want to highlight the amazing role our youth play in our futures. They are our strength, they provide our vision through their ongoing work with Elders in their own communities and they are responsible for future legacies.”

With inCommunity’s deep history and ongoing work supporting community members of all ages, particularly young people, many of whom are First Nations Peoples, we honour this year’s theme.

We also share details of Ipswich’s NAIDOC celebrations to be held tomorrow (Tuesday 8th July) between 10am to 2pm at Tulmur Place, Nicholas Street Precinct, Ipswich.

A great chance to continue to learn about the strength and resilience of First Nations Peoples and celebrate the oldest, continuous living cultures on earth.
