The Tenancy Skills Institute and inCommuity Connect teams joined a long line-up of stalls filled with fun activities for the kids and stallholders to connect with at the Ipswich NAIDOC Family and Cultural Celebration. This well-supported community event included Cultural performances, a dedicated Elders’ area, food and entertainment and children’s rides.

During NAIDOC Week, across our organisation we reflected on this year’s theme: Keep the Fire Burning! Blak, Loud and Proud. We recognise the special importance of this week, celebrating Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Peoples and their continuous connection to the land for over 65,000 years.

We thank Elders, cultural knowledge holders and our First Nations team members, for generously sharing culture and stories this week and all year round. We celebrate the unyielding spirit of Communities and remain committed to playing our part in keeping the fire burning.
