“It’s very good that young people have this opportunity. If they can use the opportunity as a stepping stone to permanent accommodation and full-time employment, and improve their lives, that’s what it’s all about. It’s how I looked at it when I lived here.” – Quentin.

Recently, inCommunity Connect marked 25 years of delivering its youth crisis accommodation service from Hargreaves House. To acknowledge this significant milestone, we invited Robyn Hargreaves, the building’s namesake, and Quentin, the first resident of Room 6 at Hargraves House, back for a return visit.

Our team of case managers loved welcoming Robyn and Quentin back to share memories and also update them on the service of today. It was also a wonderful reminder for our team of the positive, long-term impact we can have, inspiring people so that they believe they can!

Thank you to the Local Ipswich News for covering this milestone. Since 2000, from Hargreaves House, our 24-hour youth crisis accommodation service for young people aged 16-21 years experiencing homelessness has provided more than 43,000 bed nights to over 1,900 young people.
