This week is National Homelessness Week, a chance for communities across Australia to galvanise together to strengthen partnerships and commitments to end homelessness.

Here at inCommunity Connect, as part of our specialist housing and homelessness organisation, we are committed to this goal and work tirelessly alongside Ipswich community members on their pathway to safe and stable housing.

In the last 12 months, our team has delivered 14,635 bed nights, with 77% of young people and 95% of adults we have worked with at the close of their support period being in secure and safe accommodation.

Through our partnership with Dignity Homeless Services Australia, 199 households have accessed 7,200 Fareshare healthy and homestyle ready-to-eat meals, easing pressure for households finding it difficult to make ends meet, impacting their food budget.

Over the coming days, we will be sharing stories from people the inCommunity Connect team have connected with on their journeys to secure housing, and a life where they can thrive.

We recognise their strength, courage and generosity in sharing their stories so they too can inspire others who may be at risk of or experiencing homelessness.
