Find out the service delivery impact of the COVID-19 pandemic.

As temperatures drop, inCommunity has launched its inaugural Winter Warmth Appeal. inCommunity is calling upon Ipswich residents and businesses for support, and to help provide warmth this winter to those at risk of or experiencing homelessness.

inCommunity is seeking donations of all things warm—brand new items, such as blankets, beanies, jumpers, reusable coffee mugs/flasks, and gloves.

Nerissa Wade, Senior Manager at inCommunity Connect, said “donations will support those most at risk, including women accessing The Club and other people we support through our inCommunity Connect programs. We hope that individuals and businesses will see our appeal and consider lending a hand to help those fellow members of their community who may be facing uncertainty and struggling to keep themselves and their families safe and warm”.

inCommunity has been offering support throughout Ipswich for nearly 40 years, and provides a range of programs to support those experiencing or at risk of homelessness. These include mobile housing support, a woman’s drop-in service, homeless outreach, a crisis accommodation program for young people 16 to 21 years of age, transitional housing, the Tenancy Skills Institute, and programs delivered in partnership with other community organisations.

Please donate today to help Ipswich families facing homelessness. Donations are being accepted up until 1 June 2021. Donations may be dropped off to ‘The Club’ at inCommunity, located at 59 Limestone St. Ipswich, between 1.30 and 4:00pm on 11, 13, 18, 20, 25, and 26 May 2021, and on 1 June 2021. Alternatively, individuals or businesses can email connect@incommunity.com.au, or call 07 3812 1199, to organise a drop off date/time.
